Thoma Bravo Rental Software Unit Sued for Price Fixing by DC (1)

Thoma Bravo LLC’s rental software company RealPage Inc. was sued by Washington, DC Attorney General Brian Schwalb on allegations it has unlawfully inflated rents for tens of thousands of apartments across the nation’s capital.

The antitrust lawsuit claims RealPage has colluded with the largest landlords in Washington to set high rents and exchange sensitive data about the city’s housing.

RealPage’s software sets rental prices for 90% of units in large buildings in the city, according to the lawsuit. Schwalb is also suing the city’s biggest landlords for agreeing to share information and abide by RealPage’s terms.
