Teradata, SAP Reach $480 Million Settlement in Antitrust, IP Row

Software firm Teradata Corp. and German tech giant SAP SE have reached a $480 million settlement to resolve years of antitrust and trade secret claims that were poised for trial in the coming weeks.

The agreement, revealed Monday in a securities filing, ends a dispute dating to 2018 in which Teradata alleged that SAP conditioned sales of business management software to its database products in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act. It also alleged that SAP misappropriated Teradata’s trade secrets in violation of California law.
