Tempur Sealy, Mattress Firm Offer More Concessions in FTC Fight

Tempur Sealy International Inc. and Mattress Firm are pledging to make more of their stores’ floor space available to rival suppliers if they are allowed to combine, their latest concession as they fight the Federal Trade Commission’s effort to block the $4 billion deal.

The companies say the new commitment is designed to appease concerns that a judge raised during the final day of a trial in the FTC’s case about how the firms’ floor commitments could upset the pre-merger status quo.
