Supreme Court Rejects Bid to Review Duke Energy Antitrust Suit

The Supreme Court on Monday denied Duke Energy’s appeal of a Fourth Circuit ruling that revived antitrust claims against the North Carolina power utility.

Duke Energy, one of the country’s largest power producers, asked the high court in February 2025 to review a decision by the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit that reversed a lower court’s summary judgment order in favor of the company.

The US Solicitor General in December 2025 opposed granting the petition.
