Sun Pharma’s $75 Million Deal Gets Nod in Drug Antitrust Case

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Inc. exited antitrust litigation over an alleged industrywide scheme to fix generic drug prices after a federal judge approved a settlement worth $75 million to $95 million.

Judge Cynthia M. Rufe signed off on the agreement, which resolves some of the claims facing Sun as part of a sprawling dispute involving hundreds of drugs, dozens of pharmaceutical companies, and scores of plaintiffs, including large health-care companies and nearly every state government.
