SS&C Ducks More Antitrust Claims Over Geneva Accounting Software

SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. dodged federal antitrust claims in Manhattan over its alleged scheme to cut off rivals from industry-leading hedge fund management software it acquired, about five months after a federal judge in Philadelphia threw out a similar lawsuit.

Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil dismissed a lawsuit by Arcesium LLC, rejecting allegations that SS&C effectively stopped doing business with a rival for unlawful reasons by insisting on prohibitive terms during talks over renewing Arcesium’s license to use its Geneva accounting platform.
