Martin Sorrell’s S4 Capital disappointed investors — again — with shares shedding as much as 10% this morning.
S4 said like-for-like net revenue will continue to drop this year and clients are expected to remain cautious. Technology firms are particularly reluctant to spend on marketing, a pullback seen across the industry.
As he tries to turn things around, Sorrell has restructured the board and named Jean-Benoit Berty chief operating officer. Notably, Berty previously led tech for EY.
