SMG Faces Informal Probe by Swiss Antitrust Watchdog

SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG faces an informal inquiry by Switzerland’s Competition Commission, after the watchdog received complaints over the company’s pricing model.

“We are looking into the question whether SMG’s offer on its real estate platforms constitutes an unfair restriction of competition and that have launched corresponding inquiries into this matter,” the commission said in an emailed statement.

The competition watchdog said the proceeding was still at an informal stage and that it had forwarded complaints regarding the firm’s pricing model to the agency that oversees the country’s prices.
