SmartSky Tacks Antitrust Case Onto Gogo Feud Over Inflight Wi-Fi

SmartSky Networks LLC is adding antitrust allegations to its longstanding dispute with inflight Wi-Fi firm Gogo Inc., now complaining that monopolistic behavior drove it out of business.

Plaintiff SmartSky Networks LLC claims Gogo engaged in a multipronged campaign that blocked it from entering the market for air-to-ground broadband inflight connectivity largely by entering exclusive deals with aircraft manufacturers, maintenance and repair organizations, jet owners and fleet operators, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
