Viceroy Targets Nordic Landlord SBB, Shares Whipsaw (4)

Shares in Swedish landlord Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB whipsawed after short-seller Fraser Perring said he’s shorting the shares and debt of the company.

Perring’s Viceroy Research published a 26-page report on the Stockholm-based company -- known as SBB -- on Monday, making allegations about governance, related party transactions and inflated valuations.

SBB’s founder and chief executive officer, Ilija Batljan, declined to comment on the report itself when contacted by Bloomberg News.

“Indications are that 100 million to 140 million SBB shares have been shorted in the past month without anyone flagging in accordance with Swedish laws,” Batljan said by ...
