Senate Dems Demand Info on DOJ’s ‘Troubling’ HPE-Juniper Deal

Nine Senate Democrats led by Dick Durbin (Ill.) want to probe the Trump administration’s approach to antitrust enforcement that they say appears designed to secure “partisan victories.”

The senators, members of the Judiciary Committee, raised alarm over the proposed deal the DOJ reached to resolve its challenge of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s $13 billion takeover of Juniper Networks Inc., according to a Friday letter sent to DOJ antitrust head Gail Slater and obtained by Bloomberg Law.
