Two seafood distributors agreed to pay $2.25 million to settle claims they suppressed prices paid to Dungeness crab fishers in the Pacific Northwest, an “icebreaker” deal in the case after three years of litigation.
The proposed settlement with Pacific Dream Seafood and Caito Fisheries Inc., and the plaintiffs’ request for preliminary approval, were filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
