Rolls-Royce Appears to Settle Fan Blade Monopolization Claims

Rolls-Royce PLC appears to have settled claims in a San Diego federal court that it’s trying to shut down the secondary market for fan blades used in the engines of major Boeing Co. and Airbus SE jetliners.

The joint stipulation disclosing the case’s dismissal, docketed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, doesn’t expressly state that it settled, though it says the two sides have “resolved their dispute” over damaged fan blades made for Trent 1000 engines.
