Rep. Gaetz Allowed to Intervene for FTC in Noncompete Ban Case

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) can intervene in a lawsuit over the Federal Trade Commission’s noncompete ban after a judge granted the politician’s request.

Judge Ada Brown of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Tuesday granted Gaetz’s motion in the suit that alleges the FTC’s new rule outlawing the use of nearly all non-compete agreements in employment contracts exceeds the agency’s authority.
