Arizona’s attorney general is suing RealPage Inc. and nine landlords over alleged rent price collusion, adding to the wave of antitrust complaints facing the revenue-management software company.

The slew of high-profile RealPage litigation is testing the role of artificial intelligence tools in illegal collusion, as companies increasingly rely on AI-powered information systems. The complaint in Arizona Superior Court, announced on Wednesday, alleges major residential landlords colluded with RealPage to artificially raise rents in the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas in violation of Arizona’s state antitrust law and its consumer fraud statute.
