A RB Global Inc. unit allegedly conspired to artificially increase nationwide rental prices for construction equipment instead of setting rates individually in violation of antitrust laws, an Illinois construction company said in a complaint.
Rouse Services LLC, a RB Global subsidiary, violated Section 1 of the Sherman Act through a price-fixing scheme that inflated the costs of loaders, dozers, hoes and other equipment, according the Tuesday suit filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The complaint names six other construction rental companies including United Rentals Inc., HERC Holdings Inc., and Sunbelt Rental Rentals Inc.
