QVC Gets Antitrust Claims Cut From Suzanne Somers’ Fraud Lawsuit

QVC Inc. dodged antitrust claims brought by actress Suzanne Somers over the breakdown of its partnership with her dietary supplements company, about a month after a federal judge in Philadelphia let most of the fraud and contract case move forward.

Judge Chad F. Kenney granted partial summary judgment late Thursday, saying Somers and her company, SLC Sweet Inc., “have clearly not met” the evidentiary burdens imposed on them by antitrust laws that require plaintiffs to prove the competitive landscape was harmed.
