Poultry Firms Get Final Approval of $398 Million Settlement Fund

Perdue Farms Inc., Tyson Foods Inc., and Butterball LLC are among a group of poultry processors that won final approval of $398 million worth of settlements in a yearslong wage-fixing conspiracy case.

Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher of the US District Court for the District of Maryland on Thursday granted final approval of the deals, saying there were no objections to the agreements from members of the settlement class and that there were “substantial risks and delays associated with continued litigation against the Settling Defendants.”
