Polish anti-monopoly office UOKiK fines the country’s biggest e-commerce platform 206.2m zloty ($46.8m) for abusing its dominant position, the office says on website.
Allegro says inregulatory filing it doesn’t agree with UOKiK’s decision and will take steps to overturn it- Decision is not final and fine isn’t payable until Competition and Consumer Protection Court concludes its proceedings
- Company has a month to appeal the office’s decision in the court
- UOKiK also imposes additional fine of 3.97m zloty on Allegro for using prohibited clauses in its Smart program
