The former top executive of Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. is no longer with the second-biggest American chicken producer after being indicted by U.S. prosecutors for price fixing.
Jayson Penn left the Greeley, Colorado-based company Tuesday, according to a regulatory filing. Chief Financial Officer Fabio Sandri has been appointed to the additional role of president and chief executive officer, after holding that position on an interim basis since Penn was put on leave June 15. Sandri has been with the firm since 2011.
