Philippines Mulls Price Cap on Pork, Chicken in Capital (1)

The Philippines is considering a cap on the prices of pork and chicken amid rising costs in the capital region, Agriculture Secretary William Dar said.

The agriculture department has asked President Rodrigo Duterte to put the maximum price of pork belly at 300 pesos ($6.24) per kilogram, and dressed chicken at 160 pesos per kilogram in the Manila region for 60 days, Dar said in a briefing on Monday.
