The supermarkets leading a price-fixing class action against dozens of top chicken producers asked a Chicago federal judge to approve a $13.4 million settlement of their antitrust claims against Peco Foods Inc., George’s Farms Inc., and Amick Farms LLC.
The proposed deal calls for Peco to pay $5.15 million, George’s $4.25 million, and Amick $3.95 million, according to court papers filed Dec. 11. It follows less than a month after Judge Thomas M. Durkin approved a $2.25 million settlement with Fieldale Farms Corp.
