Otter Tail Agrees to Pay $73.5 Million in Antitrust Settlements

Otter Tail reached settlements and agreed to pay $73.5 million to resolve two of three class actions in the PVC Pipe Antitrust Litigation pending in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

  • The company’s subsidiaries agreed to pay $39.5 million to Direct Purchasers
  • They also agreed to pay $34 million to Non-Converter Seller Purchasers
  • The settlements are subject to preliminary and final court approval
  • Claims by the End-User Class remain pending against the company
  • Otter Tail said it will use available cash to fund payments
