The planned move of the Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas is part of an “NFL-rigged process” that promotes relocations to line the pockets of team owners, the City of Oakland, Calif., says in a complaint filed Dec. 11.
The Raiders announced in 2017 that they were leaving Oakland for Las Vegas. Oakland went to “extraordinary efforts to keep the Raiders from leaving” but ultimately couldn’t match the $750 million Las Vegas offered the team, it says.
