Norwegian Air’s Wideroe Purchase May Be Halted by Regulator (1)

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA’s 1.13 billion kroner ($103 million) acquisition of regional carrier Wideroe AS could be halted by authorities in Norway amid competition concerns.

The Norwegian Competition Authority is considering intervening in the deal, which would have linked Wideroe’s network, covering more than 40 small and medium-sized airports across Norway, with Norwegian’s domestic and international routes.
