A federal judge granted preliminary approval of the NCAA’s revised $2.8 billion antitrust settlement, kicking off a monthslong process that could culminate in a final deal next year.
Judge Claudia Wilken of the US District Court for the Northern District of California in a Monday order said she found the amended deal to be fair reasonable, and adequate. She set a fairness hearing for April 7, 2025, with objections due Jan. 31, 2025.
