Ohio and six other states were granted a two-week restraining order to stop the National Collegiate Athletic Association from enforcing a rule that restricts some student-athletes from competing if they transfer between Division I schools.
Judge John Preston Bailey of the US District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia on Wednesday granted the restraining order until Dec. 27, when there will be a hearing for a preliminary injunction on the rule.
