NCAA Finalizing Settlement in UNC Tennis Player Prize Money Case

The NCAA reached an agreement to settle claims brought by a UNC tennis player and a certified class who alleged the organization’s restrictions on prize money violate antitrust laws.

Plaintiff tennis player Reese Brantmeier on Wednesday asked the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina to stay proceedings and deadlines in the case for 60 days, citing the deal.
