MultiPlan Accused of Price-Fixing Plot with Health Insurers

MultiPlan Inc. is facing a new antitrust suit alleging that it organized a conspiracy among competing commercial health insurance payers to reduce reimbursements paid to healthcare providers for out-of-network services.

Adventist Health System Sunbelt Healthcare Corp. alleged in its complaint that Multiplan engaged in a cartel agreement with competitors, including Aetna Inc. and UnitedHealth Group Inc., across the US to bilk providers out of billions of dollars per year.
