MoloLamken Proposed as New Lead Counsel in Financial Aid Case

MoloLamken LLP has been requested as the new lead counsel in a financial aid price-fixing case, after a federal judge removed a different firm from the case for misleading the court on a litigation financing arrangement.

The firm and name partner Steven F. Molo “will ensure that the proposed Class has excellent representation” that satisfy the rules governing class actions, according to a motion filed Monday by plaintiffs’ counsel Berger Montague PC and Freedman Normand Friedland LLP in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Those two firms have requested to be co-counsel.
