MGM, Caesars, Top Vegas Hotels Escape Price-Fixing Allegations

MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment Inc., Treasure Island LLC, and Wynn Resorts Holdings LLC won a court ruling dismissing price-fixing claims against them over their alleged use of an algorithm to coordinate hotel room rates on the Las Vegas Strip.

Chief Judge Miranda M. Du of the US District Court for the District of Nevada on Tuesday granted the hotels’ motions to dismiss proposed consumer class claims brought by a group of plaintiffs who stayed at various Vegas locations. They can file an amended complaint within 30 days, Du ruled in a pair of orders.
