Meta, Netflix Get Hit With Lawsuit Over Streaming Video Market

Meta Platforms Inc. and Netflix Inc. are facing a proposed class action alleging they made an anticompetitive agreement that caused consumers to pay more for video streaming services.

The plaintiffs are two Netflix subscribers who allege that Meta refrained from competing directly in the streaming-video market in exchange for Netflix’s subscriber data, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
