McKesson Board Finally Free of Governance Suit Over Price-Fixing

McKesson Corp.'s former senior leadership dodged a third attempt by an investor to blame its board and top executives for its alleged role in the nationwide generic drug price-fixing scandal, with a San Francisco federal judge saying the shareholder won’t get a fourth try.

The plaintiff “once again advances two theories of liability, one based on McKesson’s ostensible participation” in the scheme “and the other on false statements made by McKesson’s officers,” Judge Charles R. Breyer wrote Wednesday. “She also once again fails to adequately plead either theory.”
