Marriott’s Mid-Trial Settlement Ends Keyword Antitrust Case (1)

Marriott International Inc. agreed to resolve antitrust litigation over its alleged role in a scheme by top U.S. hotels to rig online advertising auctions, prompting a federal judge in Texas to end an ongoing trial of claims by digital hotel room broker TravelPass Group LLC.

Judge Robert W. Schroeder III dismissed the case Monday from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, granting a series of joint motions the two sides docketed over the weekend following the trial’s first week. The dismissal with prejudice also covered Marriott’s counterclaims.
