Live Nation Sheds Ticket Case but Antitrust Pressure Remains

Live Nation Entertainment Inc. and its Ticketmaster LLC are free of antitrust claims brought by a group of consumers alleging the companies colluded to inflate ticket prices.

Judge George H. Wu of the US District Court for the Central District of California adopted a decision Thursday that discarded claims of exclusive dealing, tying, boycotting, and breach of contract, as well as a claim brought under California’s Unfair Competition Law.
