LA Fitness Sued by FTC Over Cancellation Practices (Correct)

The Federal Trade Commission Wednesday sued LA Fitness gym operators over allegations that they make it exceedingly difficult for consumers to cancel their gym memberships and related services, seeking a court order prohibiting the allegedly unfair conduct and money back for harmed consumers, the FTC said in a news release.

The FTC said LA Fitness consumers faced numerous obstacles in cancelling memberships, such as restrictive cancellation hours, requirements to cancel in person or by mail with specific employees, and difficulties logging in or retrieving credentials to access cancellation forms online.
