Kentucky Firm Accused of Bullying Lawyers Into Restrictive Deals

A Kentucky law firm was accused in federal court of harming the motor vehicle personal-injury legal market by bullying staff into restrictive contracts and threatening departing lawyers with litigation.

Isaacs & Isaacs P.S.C., a personal injury law firm based in Louisville, Ky., enforced agreements “designed to trap attorneys inside the firm and to punish, financially and reputationally, any who leave,” former employee Nicholas Alexiou said in a Tuesday complaint in the US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
