Juul Labs Prevails in Tossing E-Cigarette Monopolization Suit

Juul Labs Inc. won a bid to toss a suit accusing it of entering a deal with tobacco giant Altria Group Inc. to ensure its power over the e-cigarette market.

Judge William Orrick of the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday granted Juul its motion to dismiss the plaintiffs’ claim for injunctive relief, given that the challenged 2018 agreement between the companies had been fully unwound.
