Justices Pass on DOJ Appeal of Case on Criminal Bid-Rigging Rule

The US Supreme Court on Tuesday denied the Justice Department’s request to review an appellate court ruling that overturned an antitrust conviction of a former engineering firm executive accused of rigging bids.

The DOJ asked the high court in late June to review a US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit decision that tossed former engineering firm executive Brent Brewbaker’s conviction.
