JSW Sues Top Competitors With Steel Slab Sales Boycott Claims (1)

Indian steelmaker JSW Steel Ltd.'s U.S. unit is suing a group of top competitors for allegedly conspiring to deny selling components used by JSW to make competing products and interfering with its expansion plans.

Starting around 2018, executives from Nucor Corp., U.S. Steel Corp., AK Steel Holding Corp., and Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. agreed to cut off sales of semi-finished steel slabs to JSW, despite acknowledging they would gain from such sales, according to the complaint filed Tuesday.
