Align Technology Inc. has agreed to a $31.75 million settlement designed to end claims the company colluded to raise prices for its popular Invisalign teeth-straightening products.
The proposed class action deal and the plaintiffs’ request for approval was filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, marking the third bid to settle the case brought by consumers.
Judge Vince Chhabria denied two other proposed settlements to end the case, expressing concern about an included coupon program for Invisalign treatment as part of the deals.
