Intuniv Antitrust Settlements Worth $3 Million Approved by Judge

Consumers leading antitrust litigation over the attention deficit drug Intuniv won final approval Thursday from a federal judge in Boston for settlements worth $2.95 million with Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. unit Shire and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. subsidiary Actavis.

Judge Allison D. Burroughs signed off on the deal, which would resolve class action claims brought on behalf of “indirect purchasers” in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The agreement calls for payments of $1.1 million by Actavis and $1.85 million by Shire.
