Hormel Foods Corp. won preliminary approval of a $4.6 million settlement with indirect consumer purchasers resolving allegations that the company conspired to inflate the price of pork.
Judge John Tunheim of the US District Court for the District of Minnesota on Tuesday said the settlement was superior to other means of resolving the matter.
