Greystar Real Estate Partners LLC, one of the largest housing-property owners in the US, has agreed to pay $50 million to settle claims it colluded with revenue management firm RealPage Inc. to fix rental prices across the US.
The proposed settlement was filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
Greystar’s deal is the largest among 26 landlord defendants totaling $141.8 million, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary approval. Among other landlord defendants, Bell Partners settled for $6 million and Bozzuto Management Co. reached a deal for $4 million.
