Google Loses Bid to End Rumble’s Antitrust Lawsuit Over YouTube

Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC must face antitrust litigation brought by Rumble Inc.—a streaming video platform advertised as being “immune to cancel culture"—over claims that Google’s search engine directs web traffic to videos featured on YouTube, a federal judge in Oakland, Calif., ruled.

Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. issued a preliminary ruling in Rumble’s favor, letting the company move forward with allegations that Google illegally exploits its online search dominance to “self-preference” in favor of YouTube, the world’s largest streaming video site.
