Google Escapes Claims in Reverse Phone Number Lookups Lawsuit

Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC unit convinced a federal judge to toss the majority of claims in a case brought by a caller ID business that alleged the tech giant unlawfully dominated the general search services market and demoted the company’s website rankings.

Rosenberg of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida in a Nov. 8 order dismissed most of the claims in a suit alleging a Google monopoly harmed plaintiff Greenflight Venture Corp.'s reverse phone number lookups business by reducing the internet traffic it received through search.
