Google Defeats Antitrust Lawsuit Over Switch From Flash to HTML5

Google parent Alphabet Inc. dodged antitrust claims Tuesday over its alleged scheme to manipulate the internet-wide transition from Flash video to HTML5, when a federal judge in Atlanta threw out the case, rebuking a defunct digital advertising platform for its vague, sprawling complaint.

Judge J.P. Boulee tossed the case for a second time from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, saying Inform Inc.'s amended lawsuit “is cumbersome and suffers from some of the same deficiencies as the first.”
