German Antitrust Watchdog Probes DHL’s Deutsche Post (1)

DHL Group’s Deutsche Post unit and two of its competitors are facing an investigation by Germany’s antitrust watchdog..

The Federal Cartel Office is probing its letter-consolidation service that fetch and sort outgoing business mail, the regulator said in an emailed statement on Thursday. Alongside Deutsche Post, Postcon Konsolidierungs GmbH and Compador Dienstleistungs GmbH are being targeted.

The three companies are competing on the market which Deutsche Post dominates yet they entered into agreements which the agency will now review, according to the statement.
