FTC Seeks to Stop ‘Killer Acquisitions’ With Information Demand

The Federal Trade Commission may begin demanding more information about previous acquisitions as it conducts antitrust reviews to keep firms from dominating an industry by absorbing smaller competitors.

The FTC plans to propose changes to the required filings that companies must submit during a merger review, said Shaoul Sussman, the commission’s associate director for litigation.
