FTC Probes $10b Deal for Subway Sandwich Chain, Politico Says

The Federal Trade Commission is investigating whether the $10 billion purchase of Subway creates a sandwich shop monopoly, Politico reports citing people familiar with the discussions.

  • Jimmy John’s and Arby’s, in addition to McAlister’s Deli and Schlotzsky’s, are owned by private equity firm Roark Capital, which agreed to buy Subway in August: Politico
